
ANTONELLA ROMUALDI
She made scientific research and worked for the protection of archaeological heritage in Populonia and in the area of Val di Cornia for Soprintendenza ai Beni Archeologici della Toscana. She was scientific director of Parco Archeologico in Populonia. She planned and carried out the project of mounting an exhibition of Medicean marbles and Etruscan sculpture of ancient Museo Topografico Centrale of Etruria at Villa Corsini in Castello and she edited a catalogue of statues belonging to the collections of Archaeological Museum in Florence. She was Director of Dipartimento di Antichità Classica of Uffizi Gallery. She projected and directed many marble restorations of Uffizi. She created the collection "Studi e restauri dei marmi antichi degli Uffizi" and she wrote the first three volumes. She is the author of many publications about culture and about Populonia history. Other sources of her studies are votive objects, Etruscan bronzes and roman portrait paintings. She is member of Istituto Archeologico Germanico.
