Studies on Vaso Medici among interpretation, historical staging and visual luck

The volume studies one of Uffizi's masterpiece: the so-called Vaso Medici, the famous crater of I century b.C. which arrived at Florence in 1780 from roman collection of Villa Medici. This crater is studied not only as an object belonging to ancient art, but also for its good luck, interest and influence on western artistic culture since its discovery on XVI century. Even if the study analyzes a specific topic, it is a good example of the influence exerted by ancient forms and slow decline.
