ANDREA TORRE

is researcher in Italian Litterature at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. He teached at the Universities of Potenza and Parma; he is also member of the editorial board of the journal «Nuova Informazione Bibliografica», and he also is part of the editorial board in the Edizione delle opere di Pomponio Torelli. He published poetical and philosophical texts of the italian Renaissance; his main topics are: Petrarch and his legacy in XV-XVII centuries; the medieval tradition of art of memory, and links between literature and visual art. He recently published  Petrarcheschi segni di memoria. Spie postille metafore (Pisa, 2007) and the anthology Variazioni su Adone I. Favole lettere idilli (1532-1623) (Lucca, 2009).
