
CHARLES DEMPSEY
Is teacher of History of Art at John Hopkins University of Baltimora. He published a study on Annibale Carracci and the Beginnings of Baroque Style (I Tatti Monographs, 1997) and one with Elizabeth Cropper entitled: Nicholas Poussin: Friendship and the Love of Painting (Princeton, 1996). His most recent study is called. Inventing the Renaissance Putto (Chapel Hill, 2001).
