CHARLES DEMPSEY

è docente di Storia dell’Arte alla Johns Hopkins University di Baltimora. Ha pubblicato uno studio dedicato ad Annibale Carracci and the Beginnings of Baroque Style (I Tatti Monographs, 1997) e uno, a quattro mani con Elizabeth Cropper, intitolato Nicholas Poussin: Friendship and the Love of Painting (Princeton, 1996). Il suo studio più recente è intitolato Inventing the Renaissance Putto (Chapell Hill, 2001).
