CHARLES DEMPSEY

est professeur d'Histoire de l'Art à la Johns Hopkins de Baltimora. Il a publié une étude sur Annibale Carracci and the Beginnings of Baroque Style (I Tatti Monographs, 1997) et une avec Elizabeth Cropper intitulé Nicholas Poussin: Friendship and the Love of Painting (Princeton, 1996). Son étude le plus récente s'appelle Inventing the Renaissance Putto (Chapell Hill, 2001).
